Dr. Shachin K. Gupta is a highly experienced consultant diabetologist with over 21+ years of experience. He is passionate about helping patients manage their diabetes and providing the best possible care. Dr. Gupta has a special interest in the use of advanced technology to improve diabetes treatment outcomes and quality of life. He is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized care to every patient that visits his clinic. Dr. Gupta believes in educating patients and involving them in their care and treatment. He is dedicated to giving his patients the best possible care and support.

A brief history of Dr. Shachin

  • Completed MD (Medicine) from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal (M.P.) in the year 1989.

  • Due to his keen interest in the field of diabetes, he trained at the Diabetes Centre of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia in 2001.

  • He started the first comprehensive Diabetes care center in Bhopal (M.P) in the year 2001. This clinic is dedicated only to patients with Diabetes with the prime objective of educating and making people aware of Diabetes. Having an experience of 21+ years as a Consultant Diabetologist.

  • Practical Diabetology course from The University of New Castle & Novo Care Diabetes Academy (TUNNDA), Australia- 2002.

  • Regularly organizing Diabetes Awareness Programs in Rural and Urban Areas. Conducted more than 100 Diabetes Detection and Awareness camps till now.

  • Helping poor Diabetic patients particularly Type 1 Diabetic patients through NGO “Krishna Diabetes Charitable & Research Foundation” founded in 2005.

  • Author of Diabetes Awareness Books, “Sanyam”, “Foot Care in Diabetes”, “How to Prevent Diabetes” and “Insulin is nector of Life”.

  • Recipient of two national awards 1. Diabetes Awareness Initiative Award by Diabetes India in 2015. 2. Jio Dil Se Award by FM Dainik Bhaskar Group in 2015.

  • Regularly conducts Research in the field of Diabetes.

  • Since Feb-2014 he is running a free charitable camp "Sai Diabetes Clinic" every Thursday evening and providing free blood sugar tests, HbA1c Tests, and free medicines to all lower socioeconomic patients, regularly consulting more than 150 patients every Thursday.

  • Moderator and giving lectures to students of the National Diabetes Educational Program (NDEP) since 2011.

  • CCGDM – Certificate Course in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus awarded jointly by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) & Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy (DMDEA), Chennai in October 2021.

  • Started a series of Diabetes Awareness Programs through Webinars during Covid 19 pandemic to educate patients about Covid & Diabetes titled “Don’t Be So Sweet, It Will Hurt You”.
